Mount Amps on Sub Box (Yay or Nay)???

Greetings, I have run out of room to install my amps and sub box and still retain some storage space. Hence my question. Is it ok to mount my amps on my sub box? I seem to remember reading somewhere this practice was frowned upon (something about amp internals vibrating loose). What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance for all replies.

Ive had my hifonics amp screwed on to the back of my box (2 12" L7's) for almost 2 years and never had a problem, but if I were to do it again I would at least put some sort of padding underneath it around the outer edge to help with the vibrations. I would get something like this from home depot and it doesnt even cost more then 5 bucks for 10 ft almost 1/2" thick. Sticky on one side foam on the other.

i have all 3 of my amps mounted to box, well there is an extra piece of wood between them and box, and I dynamatted under the carpet before put amps on.

i don't like doing it, but if the box is solid, it doesn't matter. i just don't like putting extra screws into my boxes
i feel you on that one! im still thinking of some sort of amp rack for my new box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Honestly, I am not sure it makes much difference either way. The vibrations that my subs make are felt throughout my car. I can't think of a single place I could mount my amp in my trunk that would keep it from being vibrated by the subs.

Think about your mirrors and stuff that vibrate all over the place. I have screws that fall out under the dash. I am not so sure moving the amp a foot away is doing much difference at all.

meh just makes it easier for the thieves all they have to do is grab ya box and run
must be a nigga wit a bigga figga
