A friend have a 97 Civic with a Autocraft Gold 51R battery. Problem I have is non of the terminals he has fit, the outer diameter of the terminal is too small for the terminal to clamp down completely and hold tight.

Anyone know of a company that makes terminals for smaller post batteries?

I would use Brass/soft metal. It should be a standard battery post for standard battery terminals. Brass will bend and contour to the post.Your local Auto Zone or Orileys or auto store should have some in stock. Example below

They make sleeves that go over the battery terminal to increase its size.
