yea set the dmm to resistance/ohms. put it to the terminals of the mids and if reads the impedance to roughly what the speaker is supposed to be then the speaker is good. if it reads zero, it's blown.

DMM set to ohm (200), it reads 3.8 (4 ohm mid) (only did the passanger side because that door panel is off already, figured at least that one should be working with the right reading). What next?

Yea, I double checked all the connects from HU to X-over to amp. They all look fine.

If yes to RCA's

set DMM to AC volts(200) and test output of the amp at the speaker terminals.

do u have a crossover for ur mids and highs? if so, and ur tweets play, somethin might be ****ed with ur crossovers. idk much about components and whatnot but its just a thought lol

Amp has output, check speaker wire

No output, pull RCAs out fo amp and mesure voltage of RCAs

Voltage from RCAs...Amp may be bad

No voltage...pull deck and make sure they are not loose

RCAs unhooked...you found the problem

RCAs hooked up...either a setting in your deck is off, or the output of the deck is bad. Pull RCA from another source and test.

What do I set the DMM to to check the RCA's. I have a feeling that it is the DQX (x-over) that is having the problem.

Mid is already hooked directly to the amp. Either the x-over is having output problems, or the B channels on the amp are f'ed up.

For the RCAs test them with the same 200 AC volts. I have a coustic XM-7 if you think that DQX is busted. You can borrow it to see if thats it.

DMM>me I couldn't seem to get a reading on anything, even the RCA's that are obviously working. This is flat out pssing me off.
