btw...its not your "beefy" car...you cant break the laws of electricity. period.

with 3200 watts you have the potential of pulling 300+/- amps of current (depending on efficiency). the answer is simple....either, your not telling us everything, or it isnt happening. unless maybe, your amp was made by jesus

ask lokata how his 200A alt, with a kinetik 1800 and a 2400, using an amp as efficient as the zx2500. is still getting good size voltage drops...
Ive told you what I have, sent you pics of the 2 1800s. I guess its DMM + cell phone tomorrow with a video.

And I bet lokata doesnt have a Charger, Magnum, or 300C correct?

LOL, yo, you're not getting 3800w out of your colossus. You need to go buy a clamp right away and see what you are actually pulling out of that amp.
i honestly don't see your voltage dropping to only 13.8v even if your batteries float fairly high...

that amp is rated at 14.4 iirc... pretty sure... anyways... just my thought on that.

ummm, the car makes no difference really. you think the car is doing anything for your system? you gotta be kidding me.

he has a 200A alt (has benched as high as 218A ) and has more batteries and less power. i have the same alt on my explorer and i get good drops as well.

dont waste your time with a dmm and a cell phone. it doesnt mean shit. the fact is you CANT break the laws of electricity. it takes power to make power. period. no ifs ands or buts.

Look man. I drive a dodge too, but you arent defying the laws of electricity here. You cannot, and will not pull that much current on a stock alt, that being a 160amp does about 100 on idle. Just clamp it, You are not getting 3200w. plain and simple

Read up on your cars bro. And yes I do believe the "car" is doing stuff for my system. Look at the computer system in those cars I listed and then comment. NOT "other dodge cars". The alternator/voltage is controlled through the computer, hence why no higher alternators have been made except for the HO 160 amp ones that come on the RT/SRT8/Police Packages.
