most powerful battery..?

really?
cuz the LMS-Ultra is rated @ 5000w... I would have figured that the 5200 would take quite a bit of power...

explain how they are wrong?
Come listen in my car and you will see how wrong they are. Id be glad to give a listen to one of the people in Ohio and let them comment. And I have yet to turn my volume on my HU past halfway so they are way too loud as they are now. Whoever said they take 4000 to get going are WRONG. And dont tell me I am wrong because I have had them in a premade box for 15s and they were LOUD as well. I cant imagine them on 4k RMS. Maybe its just the beefy box that they are in...id be glad to give you a listen anytime. I will take/post a video as soon as I figure out how.

4kw rms? if they are truly on 3200 right now, 400w extra to each isnt going to be a world of difference.

not to mention if you havnet turned your volume up more than halfway...you, again, arent seeing anywhere near that 3.2k your saying your sending them. i wouldnt be surprised if you only drop to 13.8V if you only turn it up 50%

The LMS-ULTRA is the linear driver which needs more power and come alive at about 3k. The 5200 come alive at about 2500. I sat in a Cady EXT with (2) 5200's and (2) 2500D's that did 147 at 30Hz lol

There are on each channel of the Colossus, so id say each is getting ~1900 maybe. So 4000 each would be alot of a difference, but it is not needed because its already too loud.

hmmm.
wasn't saying your wrong... just curious.

well I am getting a LMS-Ultra here soon and will throw 4500w ish so we will see.

mines a 18.
haha that thing is going to be having some fun. What sorta box? My 2 18's will be here soon too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i say go for 4kw a piece...who knows, you might only drop to 13.5V with 8kw rms...

just built the box.

8 cubes net. tuned to 30hz. total size is 11 cubes. should be decent //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

4500 is too much. And the sensitivity is lower on the Ultra (I believe) than even the old 5400, so I am telling you not to send each that much or you will be out alot of money.
