Monster build 2 12" Z v.3's and 5k

sweetness. nice install bro
Thanks man!!

Youre really only getting 1200 out of the 20.1 right now?
Yeah it's running at 2 ohms, it's actually sold now, he has 2 Shok II's coming in early this next week.

That's a lot o port! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Nice install. Those Zs are S3XY beasts!
Hell yeah haha, thanks bro. Those things have sold a few more people on them, got a guy ordering 4 Z v.3 18's next week.

Good install... I like the looks of that grey Shok wire a lot...
Hey thanks man, I like the looks of the wire too, the Techflex looks great but I like the looks of the wire at the same time.

everything looks good. the only comment i'll make for the benefit of everyone viewing this is in regards to strain relief.
the intent of MECA rules for securing wire is to hold it in place to prevent damage if the wire moves somewhere else and you try driving a screw there, and also to provide strain relief. the first 8" is the most important [that's what she said] and every 8" when the wire is in the engine bay or trunk is crucial.

in short, strain relief should take all stress and strain off the actual connection. the wires should be supported independently of the ring terminal connection. i don't see strain relief in this build, it looks as if all of those connections are supporting the cable. one way to test is to disconnect the nut holding the ring terminal - if it doesn't move, you're good. if it moves a lot, it's a failure point. you would know this when you make the connection. the weight of the cable should be supported independently of the terminal.

good use of techflex and heat shrink. everything else looks good. sweet amps and subs.
Man I can't thank you enough for that information, I completely get what you're saying and that totally makes sense. When we build his amp rack I'll be sure to make those adjustments accordingly. Thanks for the compliment too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

Hey thanks a lot man, trying to do what I can, have another big one coming up too. You got it bro! You'll have to come over and hear the SA-8 V.2's when I get the box done ;).

Mine sound awesome, each getting about 1200 watts and they're taking every bit of it.

I need more some techs flex for my new build...
Yeah you do!! Cleans it up nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
