minor voltage drop help??

also how do the people @ comps get a alt big enough to handel all that wattage, i see vids of guys burping 5,000 Watts and even more and if i do the math correctly 5000 watts divided by 14 volts thats about 357.....and i aint seen no one on here with a alt doin 350+ at idle cuz no one is movin @ the comps....even steve meade has 1200 amps on his ALTs and thats mathmaticly supports 18,000 watts and thats calculating with his 15volt MLA so where is the other 10k WATTS commin from? i just dont get it i hope sumone can help me thanks

burping is a bit different many people who burp dont stay above 13v they have the battery bank to support the 3 seconds of massive draw so that it stays above 12v alot of the major compeitiors use 16v banks which keeps their voltage quite high on a 3 second burp
