No permanent live circuit in Hyundai?

I have a Hyundai Accent 1.3i, year 2000. My car stereo installer at Halfords in the UK says it has no permanent live circuit, so the stereo head unit will always lose all its memories when the ignition is off. Is that true? Is there a way around it?

if it is true,but some reason dont think it is.... just run a wire straigh to the battery

I've got an 04 Accent and it has a 12v wire that's live all the time. But like TMali said, even if it is true, just run that wire directly to the battery.

It is very possible, like already stated you can grab a constant line at the battery or the ign harness.
