Micro/Mini systems vs fullsize?

so i been seeing a few of these around and they seem pretty pimp. i know i dont need all of the features some of the full size recievers have and the small foot print is a huugge plus. apart from the obvious less power and features, any thing wrong with em?

i was looking at a sony at work - http://www.crutchfield.com/S-eUvqtyBcxoi/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?I=158CMTBX1 . seems to be pretty basic. then i found a onkyo online - http://www.onkyousa.com/model.cfm?m=CS-415&class=Audiosys&p=i . sunwoofer preout , 3 audio ins etc. would be nice for what i want.

also, right now i have my 2.1 running off a t-amp and a 25w plate amp, would there be a differance in sq between the tamp and one of those? not that ive ever heard a full blown hifi HT setup before...
