What is it reciently with the whole I need 1000w and I have $100. Seriously, $0.10/watt. I know we are all looking for a deal, but get freekin real. Go to a flea market and pick up a BOSS or somthing. Are these guys for real, how can they afford the rest of the system that is needed to support the 2-3K watt sub stage that they want for $200.00, If you have the Mids, highs, charging andsound dampining to allow you to run a couple thousand watt sub stage, you must just be fishung/lowballing.

Not everybody has money they can just throw out the window for their entertainment. There is nothing wrong with asking if such a deal exists as there are times when those things happen.

I guess it might be difficult to understand if money is abundant or easy to come by.

Not really, people just want as much as they can get for their dollar, can't blame them.

In the case I believe you're referring to, $200 for a ~2kw amp, that's not outrageous. I got my Power Acoustik A2400DB for ~$200 slightly used which puts out 1.8kw @ one ohm.

It is the smart people who go around finding deals, researching to see whats the best for the money, and blah blah blah. The stupid ones are the people who go to the shop and get ripped off at some shop spending a couple thousand for some kickers, amp and headunit, when they could get all that used for 500.

just asking opinions, I think it tends to create a situation that has guys generally expecting to be able to pick up power ... for lets say 0.10 per watt, I just looked at the wanted section and there were 2 or 3 that were looking for power in the same price range.

I worry about the general conception that CA is lowered the standard to economy over all.

I know there are great deals out there, in a worst case scenario, if this becomes the norm, those that will pass on decent deals on good equipment, will find other outlets to move their stuff, I personally have found that on all my equipment I have gotten very good deals, and when I sold I was able to pass on the favor, not really losing or gaining any money which is cool with me, it seems to keep in the spirit of CA.

the thing that gets me is when they buy expensive speakers/subs and then expect to get cost on amps....

In their defense alot of people dont want used equipment. More likely to fail, faster.
