MechMan alt problem again?

Just a thought...but you may have to get creative and install/get someone to install an idler pulley near your alt to get better belt wrap, this will most likely mean a longer belt but if done right should greatly increase the grip on the alt's pulley. Im in the process of doing this.
if i could find some one. i fail hard in this area lol but good idea

wrong, the more load you present to the alt, the harder it is to turn. no load and the alt spins very freely.
If he only has problems when the regulator is turned up then something is askew.

Also, did everyone forget that some of his power windows stopped working and his airbag light went off?

Sounds to me like something is jacked up.

and at one point my engine light was on. but now its the air bags

Yea, I posted up in a local car forum for someone with good welding skills/engine component knowledge and this guy has done all my custom bracketry for my alt's for next to nothing ($). I'd suggest doing the same, just looking at local car forums if you have any or checking out anywhere near you that has custom car guys that could give you a hand.

I think people need to get more creative with their alternators, just think it through...if you have belt slip try a slightly shorter belt...if it still is bad look into ways to MAKE it grip better, you may have to take 'drastic' approaches such as custom fab'ing an idler pulley near your alt's pulley or heck, maybe even two (one on both sides of the alt's pulley for crazy belt wrap)...just get creative and if you find someone with good welding+metal skills you can make it work no-sweat and they should understand what youre trying to do as well so it should be no sweat.

Hopefully my idler pulley situation gets finished in the near future though, im just hoping then if there's enough grip it doesnt stall my engine at idle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif...

ill bet it was just a fuse. fixing the alt will not fix the windows, as im sure you know. check the fuses in the morning.
yeah but weid both windows would go out after 1 hour of the new alt. same gos for the powered side mirrows

god must hate me.

Was the airbag light during heavy bass?
i wish LOL no its on all time

btw the dash has a screen that tells me info on the car and tells me if doors are open and when the two front doors are open it dose not tell me that. but when the back doors are open it tells me

computer blow?

I doubt there is a separate fuse for each window.
He said only the back ones stopped working.

Lets not forget about the airbag light too.
front windows dont work. the front and back windows might be on a differant fuse. the fact they they went out at the same time points to a fuse blowing. the motors wouldnt burn out at the same time. either way lets just hope its all a fuse problem and no serious damage has been done. yes it could be something costly, i was just looking on the bright side.

hmm, so everything in the front doors... maybe a relay? god i hope its something simple for you.
