Maybe I'm doing something wrong??

Other than needing new subs, you need a new amp first.

Get a new amp first, then upgrade those subs you have. Just make sure you keep in mind how much power you are wanting to send to your subs in the future, when you upgrade, when purchasing your amp.

I'd be real curious to wondering how you really wired those subs at. You sure it's parallel and not in series?? I don't see that amp being stable whatsoever at 1 ohm? I'm thinking you are running an 8 ohm final load.

Yeah... check this link out. It shows the power handling of that tweeter. I'd just match the power no matter if you use the crossovers or not...
