ok, this is what the guy who "professionally" tuned my system did. On the 4 channel Kicker KX650.4 amp, the guy set the AMP 1 crossover at 80, and the Amp 2 crossover at ~150.

Specs:

» 120 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (170 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)

» 2-, 3-, or 4-channel output

» speaker- and preamp-level inputs

» variable front and rear high-/low-pass crossovers (variable 50-200 Hz, 12 dB per octave)

each channel is powering a component sys., the Pioneer TS-C160R:

Outboard Crossover Network -12dB/Oct. HPF and -12/Oct. LPF, Tweeter Protection Circuit and Tweeter Level Adjustment (0,-3dB)

Watts MAX. Music Power 250 Watts

Watts Nominal Power Handling 60 Watts

Frequency Response 25Hz ~ 32kHz

Sensitivity 90dB (1W/1m)

Ohmn Rating 4

currently, i am missing a lot of mid level bc on my receiver, the alpine cda-9856, i dont have an equilizer worth a **** (ill bleep it out myself caraudio). appreciate everybody's help.

also, the kicker bass boost is on, which im not sure is good bc i dont need the mid bass boosted and have the bass boost on my sub right where i want it.

Not sure on what kind of car this is in but I might run 2 different crossover points depending on where the speakers are installed. If one set of components was mounted somewhere with very little airspace and couldn't reproduce bass accurately you wouldn't want to send those speakers anything under 150hz while your other speakers might be mounted in some tuned kick panel encosure for example and have great low end response down to 80hz. I have no idea about the system in your car but its just one scenario that I could see for using 2 different crossover points.

its an 2003 audi a4 and by messing with the xover, i was able to hear why they did what they did with thm. anything under 150 and the front speakers ratlle like crazy. however, im missing a lot of mid level sounds. dont get me wrong, some songs sound awesome, but others (that i have loved for years) are intolerable.can i have the speakers mounted better than what those master craftsmen (lol) over at bestbuy did?
