I'm looking at a pair of AP Epic 12 d4 woofers.
WinIsd says I should tune these babies at a
nice deep 22Hz in a reasonable 3.75 cu ft.
I was wondering about the real world application
of such a low tuning, many woofers can tune that low.
Most manufacturers still recommend 28-32 Hz even though
that graphs a little peaky for thier woofer. The same peak
happens for the Epic 12's if tuned higher.
So what is the real world result for a very flat response down
to 22 Hz (basically 20 Hz @ -3db). Does a slightly higher tuning
end up sounding better (say 28 - 32 Hz), or only louder?
