but as far as type R's go, they have their place... They just dont last long for me, and ive got a nice collection of them in the basement.....but im pretty rough on equipment.

Nobody said ANYTHING about it being the end-all, be-all of subs. anywhere.

The R's have their place just like any other sub, and thats what was stated in this thread.

We were questioning tuan's setup because he didn't give any specific details as to the box, power, or car.

type R's are ghey unless you're playing under 40hz....

I never said you said it, but I guess you feel the need to stick up for the godlike Type-R.

Single 10" type-r, orion 2500d (1 ohm): 150.9 @ 44 hz - Thats all I would be questioning in this thread...

so what, he'd loose wha a tenth wit teh car off. but i wouldnt question the single 10 of tommy. it does that score and its also loud at the headrest. everyone knows wha they can do. so y still question em. its gettin kinda old. they are loud, cheap, and can hang wit the best of em. i did a 49.6 on the dash wit 2 12Rs car off wit 2500d@1ohm wit 4 i did 53.4 sealed up car off dash 2500d@.5ohm 43hz. they wang. juss matter of testin and gettin the right box for em for ya vehicle. if u are on a budget and want sumthin that wangs, dont see y u wouldnt pick a pair of these up.
