spent the past few afternoons last week makeing it look puuurty

- did tons of wire upgrading, dual 0awg runs, major big 3 upgrades (that was a *****)

ALTY TO BAT - 2 runs of 3/0 home depot 19strand thick *** barely bendable thickest power wire they had AND 1 run of kicker 1/0.

BLOCK TO CHASIS - 2 runs of 3/0 home depot wire

NEG BAT TO CHASIS - 2 runs of kicker 1/0 and a run of 2awg

(they'd all have equal amount of wire on each but i ran out of wire, but i think with only the 2 runs, the extra doesnt hurt....

FRONT BAT to BACK BAT, 1 run of kicker 1/0 and 1 run of audiopipe 0awg, we'll call it dual 0awg....each 1501d has it's own 0awg power wire....and 1 4awg run for the 4ch memphis.

- replaced back door stock blown speakers with extra alphasonic 6.5 woofers i had layin around

- used great stuff to make a mold of my spare tire well as a cheap way to keep sound from going through there and canceling on the other side of the box. also added a large board the box is bolted down to.

-tons and tons of touchups. and tuning

also all this was done with limited tools and very very little cost...the most exspensive thing was 3 bottles of great stuff...15 bucks.....

much better looking than before, it was sloppy and trashy before, really frankenwoofer setup, messsy as hell, unorganized, not even gonna post of pic of it before (never took any), but now everything is relativly cleaner lookin

the 3/0 is the black wire, that shit was a pain to bend the right way then slide it in like tetris to get it to fit (well the 2 block to chasis were bad, other ones fair)

decided to make a fuse block holder since i didnt wanna soend mor emoney on one. works fine

i drilled holes so that through the carpet the power/ground would come up instead of there being a ton of wires just runing down into the spare tire well and back out

i laid down a layer of plastic and let the great stuff dry, then it fits nice and snug.....3 bottle in there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif helped the cancelation....

mold next to box

afterremoving the plastic the mold sits in there all so nicely......also helps brace the alrady braced battery holder boards screwed to the floor

stock

shitty stock cone

the "basket" is par tof the cylinder like speaker "enclousure" (though not really sealed off very well)

so i drilled those off and layered the edge with adhesive to make the focker stay

front door comps i used great stuff a while back, back doors i used a mix of liquid nails and another sealant adhesive

didnt have liquid nails at the time, great stuff was harder to work with in this situation.

bracing them in while it dried...

random work pic of the parents garage

u can see the door panal flipped up and held to the door by a vicegrip thingymojig

somehow managed to fit (3) 4awg wires into a 2awg hole for a ring terminal. sexy amps

getting ready to mount (ur mom lol)

yaaaaaaaaaaaaya

the spots on the box are holes from either mounting the amp or from when i notched out the 2 baffles that were originally in here when it was for a xxx15 (4 cubs @ 28Hz). i filled the holes with liquid nails and permanent markered over them a lil....could use a lil spray paint i guess....

and u can see the cracked and repaired dustcap, TC sounds is sending me a new one im gonna put on there.......... and the wee ol' RE stickers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

It may not be the fanciest, fiberglassed or false floor or anything outrageous....

but it's simple, it works well, and the supplies to get this shit booming hard and look good was not much at all.....aside from wire costs...i spent that 15 on greatstuff, somewire covers, and some ring terminals i get **** cheap from a friend who works there.

I like how the wire just come up from the stock looking carpet and it's organization of amps and wires.....im very very pleased wiht the outcome.....

and yes i bought some wire covers for most of them under the hood....no pics, forgot at the time...

not worried about it, doubt thats gonna be an issue, that insulations is good and thick

the pic makes it look alot worse as far as the sharp metal and whatnot....but i looked at it throughly and i didnt feel the need for any extra insoluation.....it's thick as **** as is.....
