Lost need help bad

96 Lesabre and I am putting in a kd-s550 hu

I had to purchase this http://www.jvcservice.com/store/ProductDetail.asp?Part=QAM0013-005%20%20%20%20 because person I got it off of doesn't have it so my next question is don't I need an adapter to hook up to the car's original wiring ? And where might I get one of these ?

yes you will need an adapter, and you could get it at walmart or autozone or the net. you can get them from scosch. it will say on the back of the package on the applications it would be used for. just look on the front for buick applications and then on the back to make sure your car's year and model is on there. if you cant find one, just search -96 buick lasabre stereo wiring harness- in google and you shall get your answer

Ok I have received both parts that I needed but well, here we go lost yet once again.

I matched all the wires other than these from the adapter:

1. Black w/white stripe: Aux shield ground

2. Orange: Illumination dimmer

3. Blue w/white stripe: Amp Turn on

I can account for the Blue w/white stripe, I have no amp at all. As far as the blac w/white & Orange thye go to no wires on the adapter. Would this all be correct ?

Ahh well I would have said if it did or not IF in fact I even hooked it up. Which I did not

yeah if you have ones that dont go to anything just tape them off and put them to the side, and just color match all the other ones, and you will be golden

yeah lots of times you dont use illumination wires or aux grounds.
