looking to purchase my first sub only one sub not 2.. brands??

Here are a few things you will get asked to help you out.

1. What is your budget

2. What size sub are you looking for?

3. How much power(what amp) will you be using

4. What type of enclosure...this makes a huge difference in many cases.

I'm just looking for a good sounding bass.. clean bass.. and that won't blow out on me... I'm hearing JL is a good company... and pioneer, probably 10-12 inches... i only want one sub so probably 1200 watt

Jl is great if you find it cheap. They do well with low power but are not going to blow you away. The W6 is still one of the best sounding subs on the market but if your looking into the kenwood i dont see it in your budget. Look at SSA's DCON.

Well, I'm sorry. Then there is not much to help you with until you answer those questions. Not sure what to tell you on that one.
just want good sound quality..... good bass.... if 8 inches gets the job done thats fine if i need 12 thats fine.......... not looking to spend 500 dollars... on just a sub most il go maybe 200.... not sure the watts cause idk what gets the job done.... if 400 does or if i need 1000 idk
