Suggestions for Sub to pair with Alpine MRP M350

Ideally, I'd like to stay under $120 for sub/box but realize I may be limited. I had a JL Audio 10W1v2-4 and was unhappy with it. With the amp turned pretty much all the way up, I felt like I had to have my headunit (Kenwood DNX6990HD)turned up too much to get anything out of the sub. Am I maybe limited by my amp? Any recommendations for a good sub to pair with my amp?
