maybe look into the MAW18" they are cheap and maybe a 600watt amp and you could build a box. wire and cd player? might be able to get that for around $500

That's what I am here for. Some helpful input, if I need to go more on the budget then so be it. I am just going by on recent sales I missed. Maybe the guys were pulling my chain.

This guy was selling 1 Alpine mrv-1507 amp with 3 Rockford Fosgate Punch Power DVC 12" subs.The subs are 12" subs rated for 1000 watts RMS and 2000 watts EACH SUB.

He told me it slammed his full size SUV. I know the box wasnt pretty but the box I can always make a new one. He was asking 400 for that. I can pick up a set of L5 15's in a ported box with a Kicker KX1200.1 amp for 500.

Give me some advice? What would be best to stay budget wise for now. Would it be better for 4 12's, 2 12's, 2-15's? 4-15's. If I need to go higher on the budget so be it. Just can't drop a couple g's. Oh and wasn't looking for new... But yeah I know to make sure shit isnt blown. I don't plan to buy out of area where I can't see it.

Well I would ideally like to stay under 500 for a box and amp with subs..
not looking to hit numbers in competition, just would like people to feel me when they are next to me in a car or inside a building...

i usually buy my systems so i can feel the bass. surprised no one has really flamed you for this. maybe they get tired of it

Just would like some really good bump in the truck and say you are outside the vehicle you can still hear some good bump coming from the truck, not that it will shake you but you can hear it bumpin behind you or next to you.

Just would like some really good bump in the truck and say you are outside the vehicle you can still hear some good bump coming from the truck, not that it will shake you but you can hear it bumpin behind you or next to you.

oh sorry I guess noone on this site is into spl competitions or anything. I guess threads on db finals and stuff are just my imagination. **** why do the manufacturers even make 15's and 18's. Why did cerwin vega even come out with a stroker back in the day. Why do they even make 2k watt amps. Dude enjoy your 6x9's in your vehicle and move the hell on.

and just to clear it up, I am not looking to be a nuisance or annoy you as you are sitting at a light, just trying to give an idea of the bump, sorry you took it literally like I wasnted to rattle you at the light. I do have respect when it comes to music on the streets.

my 6x9's? since when have my 12's, 2x15's, 2x18's setups looked like 6x9's?

Look I am not looking to bump in Residential neighborhoods or anything like that.

so if I had lets say a ported box with say 2 12" l5 or l7's and maybe a hifonics brutus amp it would bump pretty good?? or would I need a bigger amp? I can pick up all that for around 500.
