i'm having problems with the whole setup that i have..i have two of these rockfords and i know they are good subs because they are brandnew, but i have a bandpass box and only pushing 760W Pioneer(real oldschool) amp, and i'm not sure but they aren't sounding up-to-par. my question is, what is a reliable, hopefully cheap, amp that can push these subs to the max, and what is a good enclosure for them.

*sorry about the other posts just finally put them altogether in one*

thanks in advance

subs: Rockford Fosgate P2 Punch 10" (250W RMS/500W Max)

box: theater research (bandpass i'm thinking? cause it has two holes at the top)

amp: pioneer 750W (couldn't tell you RMS)

Thats a bandpass box, prefab im assuming, id sell it and build your own, its really not all that hard. You can have someone design one for you on here, or theres a box builder at http://www.subwoofertools.com and http://www.reaudio.com

Do a ported box around 3 cubes at mid 30s (htz).

This amp is a steal, set the gains low and it should be a decent amp for you. (what do you want to spend? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif) It won't do 800 watts like it says, but it should 500 fine.

Wire the subs to 2ohm. (RF has it on their website.

dude.. yeah if an amp does like.. 1000 watts at 2 ohms, it will do 500 at 4 ohms, and 250 at 8 ohms. if you have an amp that does 500 at 2 ohms, you will get 250 at 4 ohms and 125 at 8 ohms. since you have 2 8ohm subs, you can wire them to 4ohms together. this is why you will need an amp that will do at least 500 at 4ohms. or 1000 at 2ohms. not so cheap. id go with new subs altogether. that box is cheap also, the ports are just holes that arent tuned. this makes the bass suucckkk.. you can get a single sub set-up on like 500 watts at 2 ohms in a tuned ported box that will hit harder for sure.

well, those subs aren't bad at all....i just think i should just invest for the amp that does the 1000 @ 2 ohms or higher...and get a new ported box?
