Kinda just feels like you are using the wrong sub for the wrong goals, If you want loud and low with good musicality, HDS300s arent gonna gut it with their weak low end performance. They shine in 35hz and up not below 30hz.

It takes money to get much louder. If you don't have cash, you can do lots of small things, but don't expect a night and day difference if you can't re-do your box.

My buddy has a 15" controlto in 5.5cubes on a crescendo 2k doing like 143db across the bandwidth

Actually i have not yet lol... im working on getting everything in though. Going to measure and cut more power wires today. Im going to try and have everything wired up today, may get the box and stuff in also as long as it doesnt rain. Still need to get a can of "good stuff" spray foam so i can seal it off. Good thing about this galant is the quarter panels are already sealed for some reason. That kind of threw me a curve ball becuase i was going to run wire through the side panel going into the trunk and out into the trunk. So i had to find a different entry point, which i did so should be good now.

i like them also. This is my 3rd galant ive owned. Its got some miles on it but runs out pretty well. Has the stupid lifter tick that all Galants 2003 & older have lol. im going to try and get that to quiet down though. i have owned a 95, a 99 DE & now a 99 Es. Just wish the back seat folded down, but it does have the "ski pass" as they call it so i can have that folded down while my daughters car seat is in but i dont play of course when she is in there. My seats unbolted to when i compete i can just remove the back part of the seat.
