Looking to get a new sub.

I recently got rid of my Fi SSD fully loaded and am in search of a new sub. I was running it in a 98 passat red top up front no upgrade in alt, off of a Kicker zx1000.1

AQ Hcd3 - $269 - $330, and what is the difference in coils?

SSA Icon - $295

Fi Q loaded - $324

FI BL loaded - $320

AA Havoc - $340?

If i could get some comparisons or some views about the subs alone, and about the companies/customer service in the companies, that would be awsome.

What kind of sound are you trying to acheive because if you want sql i would recommend the Fi Q better sound quality then the SSD.

I have never heard the BL but i know the Q's aimed toward Sound Quality.

the AA Havoc is the brother to the Fi Q last I knew. The Havoc gets louder and sounds as good or better than the Fi Q. On another forum there was a comparison and the single 15" Havoc put up 141.x DB and the Fi Q was at 140.x same box/amp/car

aq aluminum coils take more power than the copper. i have a friend we just did 4 hdc 15's aluminum coils on 2 aq3500's.

Thats the est. price for a 15" havoc. I think i googled "new price for 15" havoc" and saw that somewhere, i think it is close at least if not right around there. I have heard a Bl before and it sounds awsome, gets LOUD enough to shake my chest and make breathing hard and in the box/eclosure it was in it sounds like it has alot of control, sort of like a louder version of my SSD, because surprisingly it had alot of sq for being a known budget SPL sub.

I dont think im going to go with the HCD3 though.

I am trying to get that chest shaking bass with pretty good quality but that may be un-realistic off of 1200rms and a stock charging system. But it sounds liek

the Q or the Havoc are pretty nice, Does anyone have an opinion on the Icon

Also, this 15" will be going into a 4.5 cuft 32-33 hz box in a 98 passat if you were wondering what kinda box i was using

I bought an 18" Havoc from the classifieds recently for $275 shipped. It was blown and reconed, though. I'm not really sure how great of a price this is, but just letting yall know what I got mine for.

The Q will get very loud and low.

What about the Havoc or Icon, does anyone have any input on thoes, everyone has a Q thats why im looking at diff options.

Havocs both get loud and sound fine doing it, I cannot compare it to an Icon as I have never heard one

The Havoc and Icon both are great sounding drivers in their respective enclosures. The Havoc can take more power and has more xmax then the Icon, so the Havoc is a step up in that regard.
