Looking to buy amplifier to push two old school Mtx 8000's

My buddy just bought two twelve inch mtx 8000's subs. Does anyone know anything about these subs or what kind of amplifier I need to run them? Online specs say they are 400 rms 800 peak each, and they are svc with a HUGE magnet. if each are 4 ohm, i was planningto drop them to 2 ohm so does anyone have any ideass or amplifiers for sale that would push these @ 1000 watts at 2 ohms?

the AP is a 1 ohm stable max amp, you need power @ 2 ohm right?

I have an Alpine mrp-850 800 @2 if you don't do the audiopipe

wait so the audiopipe wont work at 2 ohms? because the specs on the site say it will work at 950 watts @ 2 ohms.

i have two single voice coil mtx 8000's subs 4 ohm each and i'm gonna wire them down to 2ohms so thats where i need the power at

hey i got a rockford that puts out 750 rms at 2 ohms and its deffinatley underrated it puts outs 1000 @ 1 ohm and i blew two kicker l5s 600 rms a piece with it
