Looking for the right 8" subs

Hey everyone... finally decided to post after lurking and reading posts for what seems like an eternity.

I am finally to the point of selecting gear for my system but a lot has changed since the last system I built almost 10 years ago.

Right now I am looking at putting 2 8" subs in a stealth box in my extra-cab Tacoma.

I want tight... accurate bass. I dont listen to much rap, but I do listen to electronica/techno every so often.

also, since this is a Daily Driver, that more often than not carries kids for at least part of the ride, my budget is relatively low/medium.

I have been looking at these 8" subs, to give you an idea of where my heads at:

Diamond Audio D308

Polk Audio Momo MM2084

CDT EF80

MB Quart RWE-204

Memphis MS84D

RE Audio RE8

eD 9kv.2

I am planning on running either a set of RE 6.5 FR or a set of Polk Audio Momo fronts (because of the silk tweets)

I will probably be running a fosgate 300x and a fosgate 160a2 for amps.

Since I am not dead-set on the amps, I will start that discussion once I am solid on the fronts and subs.

so... What do you all think? What 8" subs would you run? what have you heard that was tight, hit hard and was surprising for an 8" sub?

Theres alot of love for the Sundowns. Havent heard them but had 5 of his amps. Great customer service.

i have the d308's

pretty good imo

not the best 8's ive had, but good none the less

i personally loved my 1508's

I read somewhere about the TC 8 and the Rl-i 8 also... anyone have experience with them?

I would really look at the Sundown E8's can't beat quality work at 65 bucks a pc.

just saw the price on the Rl-i8... cant afford 185.00 each so that puts them out of reach.

anyone know what the price is on the Epic 8" sub from Audio Pulse?

these are a beautiful looking driver and the 8" has 22mm of movement... thats 10mm more than the RE...

according to the sundown website, they dont make any 8" subs anymore. SSA only has 12's and 15's

I guess staying in the $100.00 per sub or less range would be optimal.

at this time Sundown e8 woofers can only be purchased through myself or Jacob though Jacob has been referring many people straight to me.
