This is my first time upgrading my audio stystem in my car. I've decided to start out small with my sub and buy a really good amplifier so that if i want to upgrade my subwoofer i could easily do that!

But i need help picking an amplifier as there are so many out on the market right now. Here are the brands that i have noticed and please give me your opinion on them and suggest them.

1)Memphis

2)Alpine

3)Kenwood

Hope to your suggestions.

Well how much power do you need and at what ohm load?

ok like i said I'm starting off small so I'm getting a 10" kicker CVT10 with an rms at 400 at a single 4 ohm. Here's a link to it if you need more information. after knowing that what amp brand do you think i should get?

and add rockford fostgate into that list and then get back to me. I don't really know much about subs and amps. but correct me if I'm wrong if a sub says the rms is 400 with single 4ohm. I'm kinda confused with the whole ohms thing so if you could give me a lil ohm lesson for dummies that would be much appreciated. thank you
