looking for hidden bass without taking up much space.

I was just going to a add one of my twelves in a ported box to boost the sound of my little 1999 impreza wagon but I've decided although I want some bass like the title implies I don't want to sacrifice cabin or cargo space.

So my question is what would be some good under the seat options?

I was looking at some of the slim sub/amp combo units but from the limited experience I have had with them I know they are pretty anemic. Anyway I know I am going to have to make sacrifices to save space so what are some good options for VERY limited space bass?

That would still be in the way.

The reason I want it under a seat our hidden is because I throw a lot of stuff in this car. Like completely jam pack it with everything from treestands/blinds to fishing/kayaking stuff and any sub in the open cabin will not only be in the way but would also be susceptible to damage.

I was also thinking about the spare tire compartment as I don't even know if I could fit anything worth while under the seats but I really don't want to ditch my spare for a sub either. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

Like I said my original plan was to put one of my 12's in a small box that I could easily remove when needed but then I realized I would constantly be taking it in and out so I'm just trying to brainstorm for some better out of the way options.

If you don't have much room under the seat, then you might just have to remove/put back that sub enclosure you were talking about.

What's your under seat dims? Where's the amp gonna mount at?

under the seat doesnt work plain and simple. Reason why? Basic physics. You have no loading wall and all the sound pressure is not focused anywhere and you are out of phase meaning good luck having any under the seat subwoofer setup making any more bass than what your door speakers are capable of.

Might as well use 6.5 or 6x9 inch subs in the rear passenger door and get a good front stage going on.

What dimensions for L x W x H do you have under the seats, considering any moving parts that might interfere?

Another way to look into this is to build a cardboard box that measures 14" L x 10" W x 3" H and slide that into place where you are thinking of putting the subwoofer. If the box fits without getting crunched in any way we need to talk.

You need a truck.

IB subs in stock rear locations would be the most out of the way solution and still provide more bass than under the seat subs. Done it before with tang band 6x9s in rear deck of buddy's car on a sony mex 100bt head 40+40 watts worth of unit power with the rear bass enhancer feature turned on. Felt like a sealed 10 on 500 watts and people couldn't believe that he was not running a big ol sub in a box. Super stealth install that got pretty good results lasting till today.

There is no stock rear location other then the doors.

The setup so far.
