New Full System - Still have 12" Treo SSX & RD 1750.1

Tldr that's still long; I still have a Treo SSX 12" and an RD Audio 1750.1, which I ran at half an ohm with a BT-120 in the back. I no longer have the extra battery, and when I did run that setup it taxed my electrical system. Now I want to replace my blown speakers in my 2000 Grand Cherokee with two co-axial sets for the doors, with a 4-channel amp, and am considering options for bass. Also not sure which speakers I'm going to go with for my co-axials (not doing components because I'm not doing pods). Lastly, I've never done a regular speaker install, but the quote I got from the local shop was too much. I'm doing this myself. I want SQL for all speakers, and I want my bass to be able to get loud and low.

It's been a long time since I've messed with my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee's sound. All the speakers are busted but the rear left door. I'm literally hanging by a thread. Then again, it could just be the ****** Infinity system amp that came with the vehicle.

Anyway...the time has come to put down the ear buds while driving, and finally give my daily driver some beautiful sound again.

The last system I installed had:

- Amp: RD Audio 1750.1 (Running at half an ohm I think?)

- Sub: Treo SSX 12" (can't remember dual 1 or 2 ohm) in a ported box built to specs (32 hz)

- Electrical: Big 3, a red top battery in the front and a Shuriken BT-120 in the back, no isolator, stock alternator (130 amp I believe)

- HU: Alpine, I forget the model number

This was almost 8 years ago. All other speakers were stock. I've never done an install for components/co-axials.

The system was loud, but I'm guessing it taxed my alternator/shortened its life. I was told the electrical setup I went with would be sufficient. However, when I did this build, I did a simultaneous build for my brother with a 1000 watt rms FI Audio sub (15") in a prefab ported box tuned to like 32 hz supposedly, and his system sounded almost as loud as mine (more surface area helped?).

SO, I still have my original sub and amp. I want new speakers with a 4-channel amp, as well as bass to go with it. Only thing is, guy I talked to at the local system store kinda talked me out of using my original bass setup. He said to get the electrical right, I'm still looking at spending a good bit of money, especially since I'm adding a ~240 watt 4-channel amp this time as well. Also, I'm getting a new HU (sufficient media player, don't need CD player I think).

Here I am. What would you guys do in my situation? Guy told me a couple twelves with ~1000 watts rms would be fine without having to try to power my "competition intended" sub/amp setup. I definitely want to do it right this time though.
