looking for good 6.5 comps

ok, im looking for a middle of the road set of comps.

my budget is ~300 dollars and i have 50 watts RMS each side.

i love all kinds of music if that helps at all.

50rms per side though is quite little for any set of speakers in that price range. I'd say look to some Alpine Type R comps or CDT EF-61s

My Pro60's blow me away daily. Nobody could ever need more from a stereo system, and I have only 150 watts per channel.

Diamond hex, PPI DCX, Oz Matrix (the OZ's might go over your budget. The DCX might be less than budget... if you can find them, they are discontinued).

I am powering them nowdays with a PRS-X320, so about 150 per channel, yea they sound good...

Before I was using a PRS-X720, 400+ watts per side. LOUDER THAN SHIT!!!!!

But a little too much power for perfectly accurate reproduction, so hence the smaller amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So how do you like the PRS amps?? I have 2 - 720s, 2 - 320s and 2 - 340s. One 720 and one 320 are waiting on deck at the moment. I love those amps.

But my highest rated birth sheet for my 720s is 244 rms @ 4 ohms. Do your 60s run at 2 ohms or something.??

I had heard that the Boston tweeters are much nicer on the ears than MB Quart's tweeters, is this true??
