components has the mid eg 5" speaker with a seperate tweeter and crossover box to cut off frequencies, and coax is the 5" speakers with the additional smaller speaker in the middle of it (the tweeter)

So which is better for bass? Would I go with one type in front and a different type in th back. At this point, I don't see a sub in the near future.
