I have an Alpine MRP-350, and I'm currently running a reference infinity 12 on it. I was thinking of selling it to get something a little more beefier. What woofer would you guys recommend? I just want to run 1 12", for space reasons etc, and I like how 12z play //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Im kinda looking for low frequency bass, if that would help in anyway.

what kind of budget are we talking about here? ok, around 400 watts @ 2 ohms; let's go.

older series eD e12k.44, dual 4 ohms. Perfect for that kind of power. Still can be found used online.

Adire Shiva? (don't know the VC config)

Adire Koda 12? (also don't know the VC's off hand)

Alpine Type-R, obviously

whatever you get, a low tuned ported enclosure will extract the most output out of the driver, while not sacrificing SQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

good luck to ya.

I was thinking of about $200 max for the budget. I was also thinking of a Type R , you think that would match up nicely?

there are a ton of subs out there for that power range and budget...do a search on Sounddomain or elsewhere to find more choices. PG, JL, Eclipse, etc, etc...there are plenty out there.

Corrected.

The Koda 10 Subwoofer is available now; the Koda 12 and 15 subwoofers will follow in the summer of 2004.
from Adire's page on the Kodas...he didn't say he needed a new sub this week. I'd bet the Kodas arrive before the Kv.2's do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

A Type R would do nice off that amp, and you can get them for a good price... $100 for a 12". There are many other choices, it just depends on how much you are looking to spend.

The Type-Rs freq response goes down to 24Hz, and the pioneer is from 18Hz. Wouldnt that mean that the pioneers would handle the lower frequencies better?

well what I mean is, wouldnt the type r's bottom out before the pioneers?

I guess this all depends on the kind of music u listen to also...
