tis 1080p capable resolution. it adjust itself to w/e input your source can produce. it gets 1080p on my xbox with the hdmi cable. with the component cables i get 1080i. with comcast and my HD box i get 1080i resolution as well. lol. i'm very happy with this tv.
meh i got a 32" vizio i love it but if i was to buy another one i wouldnt go with vizio just becasue how there custermer service is i have spent countless hours on the phone with them ready to punch someone in the face very very very very rude people ... they lie alot tranfer you back and forth "lose" your information ... ask personal questions for no reason i mean i swear if i lives in cali i would bomb that bish ... althought i love my tv picture is grate a 1080i

I love both of my LCD's, but one was expensive and the other wasn't.

In the bedroom we have the Westinghouse 37" LTV 1080i and is a nice set. Only paid like 900 bucks for it 2 years ago and never had a problem once with it, besides having to reset the tv once. HD looks awesome on it and HD-DVD's as well. Weak *** sound though from the speakers, but have el cheapo Surround for it.

Living room, I have my baby the 46" Sony XBR5 1080 full HD. Looks about the same really on HD channels as my Westinghouse, but better blacks. Also LOL if Chad don't think some LCDS have decent blacks. This has as dark of blacks as any Plasma I have ever seen and even been labeled to keep up with top of the line Plasmas, so whatever......Also my PS3 looks incredible on it. Deffintley a lot better through Blu-ray on the XBR than the HD-DVD player through my Westinghouse.

I did spend way to much on the Sony though.

I looked at a place today comparing the Panny Viera 720p 42" to the 50". There is really a great difference. While I like the looks of the 1080p sets, I don't have any source that broadcasts in 1080p. I have a standard DVD player and regular cable.

Since I have no HD sources, I am fine with 720p. I did notice pixelation on the 50" version from 3'. I couldn't really get a long distance look. I am still trying to figure out what causes that.

I have a 42" Philips ambilight Plasma that has an AWESOME picture.

I have 2X 32" Olevia LCDs that I am happy with for the price paid. they have pretty good picture but nothing like the philips plasma.

i bought mine from dell with my store credit. also purchased a wall mount kit from them for it too. i payed the tv off in 3 months lol. the tv has lots of positive reviews which caught my attention, but as i said, for the money, i'm satisfied with my purchase. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Heres a 42" Regza, I would defiantly get it over a Vizo, seeing as they are so close in price anyway

I would really go take a look in the stores and compare TV's. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Problem with that is that they put the TVs on different settings I think.
