The Jeeps are a decent product. In fact, someone just did a build with four 15" AudioQue HDC3's in one, take a look for that one - pretty nice looking.
It depends on the explorer's. I've heard systems in the newer model's (like '02 up) and the rattles aren't bad. Perhaps they deadened it, who knows. However, my '98 2door Explorer rattles so freaking bad that it's a serious turn off to any audiophile (i'm sure any rattle is a turn off, but mine is just facepalm bad). I've got rattles in places I can't even imagine.I own a 98 Explorer and I say no go. They do get loud and have space for up to 4 15"s, but it not having any sound deadening is silly. Mine has horrible road noise and you can hear my door speakers down the street. I've heard setup in vehicles with good deadening and it a huge difference. They don't need at much power to get as loud. I need to deadening mine, but I probably need 2 layers to get it quiet inside.
I dont see how yours rattles soooo much. Just deaden my friend.my 05 trailblazer rattles ALOT LESS than i would have expected.the main rattle (and it's not that bad)is the back glass and that is because the port is facing back.
for the explorers.i hope the roof metal is better than what's on a 91.just noticed the roof is splitting at the seams of the indentions that run from the front to the back.i guess the roofs weren't designed to handle a stereo in the mid 50's.
So you say no because you don't want to buy deadener?I own a 98 Explorer and I say no go. They do get loud and have space for up to 4 15"s, but it not having any sound deadening is silly.
