Looking for a 1 ohm stable amp

Hey guys, First post so if i get something wrong im sorry

I have two Kicker Comp VR subs 15"

They are dual voice coil, and put out 500rms/1000peak.

I am going to wire them into a 1 ohm load, and i need to know what a good amp to buy would be, and where i can get one. Obviously you cant give me store names as im in canberra, australia. But over the net would be good.

I cant find something that will be one ohm stable and give 750-1000RMS.

First off, subs don't put out power, they HANDLE power....

Assuming they are 4-ohm DVCs?

Budget might help, but we could come up with literally dozens of amps that might meet those specs.

Haha, yeah i thought the power thing would arise a comment, yes. they handle 500rms each

I dont particularly want to spend more than $350USD or $400AUD.

Yes they are 4 ohm DVC's, im sure i wrote that they were 4 ohms and had dvc.

id sell you a Hifonics bxi2006D for 265 shipped, ive had it for about 2 weeks,i paid 320 for it... i just bought a hercules, if you want to do 1200 rms to those subs im sure they will handle it...you would just have to keep the gains down, let me know if your interested

What do you guys think? anyone have one?

Otherwise if i can find a cheap 1000/1

Decided i can wire 1 or 2 ohms, so if anyones got any other suggestions?

Other brands i want are pretty much Kicker, Coustics, JL Audio or Soundstream. Maybe MTX too.

how do you figure you can wire to 1 and 2 ohms??

and i have a Rock Fosgate T1001BD thats one its way back from chris at DB-R electronics i will sell you if u want it....

everywhere on the web says that two dual voice coil subs at 4 ohms wire to 1 ohm (parallel of course)

Otherwise i wire them in series and get 2 ohms.

Am i wrong?

You got the first part right. Two 4-ohm DVC subs can be wired for 16 ohms, 4 ohms, or 1 ohm. 2 ohms is not possible.
