Looking for 12" SQ

I've heard good things about IDQ, FiQ, Dayton Reference HO, and CDT QES-1220. Looking to stay below $300 if possible.

Anything else I should be considering?

Dayton HO is probably good for that amount of power or maybe a Shiva-x...

Get the dayton if you're making that amount of power at 4 ohms

I believe it is 425 @ 4 ohms. I am bridging two channels to the sub.

Just read the thread on a w6 as well, any thoughts on how it would compare to the above?

I would add SI Mag to the list, better SQ than any sub you mentioned by far.

Fi Q isn't really an SQ sub, overrated at best, as is the IDQ.

Dayton Reference is a great option for the price.

Also the SI mag don't take much to get going and sounding good. Very effecient!

Yes. You should consider what you want out of your sub setup. You should think about frequency response, space available, and the vehicle that you're putting it in. That will help you really find the sound quality you're looking for and what sub fits the bill the best.

What kind of frequency response are you looking for?

I'm new to car stereo, so not sure what the right answer is, ultimately looking for something to blend well with my components (CDT HD-62) and will provide good all around bass performance for most kinds of music - although I tend toward rock, pop and some hip hop/rap.

I'm not looking to piss off my neighbors or show the car off at competitions, just want a sub that will sound as good as it can for what I want to spend in a car I drive to work every day.
