Little issue with left/right sound after system install

Hey guys one question. I installed PG RCS 6.5cs speakers and an Alpine PDX4.150 amplifier to a Pioneer Avic-D3. It's weird but it seems like there is a little bit more sound coming off from the left side than the right, and I have to fade the sound to the right a little bit for it to be "balanced". In the passenger seat, as a result, it sounds like it's 90% coming from the right side. Weird. I didnt' have to do this with my stock speakers. Can you guys give me some insight. Is it just that this is just a better, more powerful setup?

Thanks in advance.

could be your RCA input wires,(hopefully). but did make sure your spks did not ground to the door metal?a little bit is not 90% . disconnect the batt ground and go over all the wires make sure to cheak the amp fuses . 1st RCA, 2nd amp fuses, 3rd wiring. nothing to do with a more powerful set-up(unless u blew the spkrs)........also you said (a little bit more sound, then you said 90% differance) you have to explain better

Sorry for the confusion. From the driver's seat, it's a bit off with the stock settings. When I fade it to the right, it then sounds fine in the driver's seat, but as a result, when sitting in the passenger seat, I hear it coming mainly from the right side (very off balance).

I'm gonna check out the RCA's this week. Thanks fellas.

Ok so I did a little diagnosing. It turns out everything up to and including the amplifier is fine. I switched the RCA channels still have the same problem (the passenger side sound feels weaker/more quiet). Same story when I switched the speaker connections at the amp. So it must something up from the speaker wire on.

Any ideas?

I've had to custom mount the tweeters in order to fit the stock location. Could them being not in identical locations have something to do with it?

Well they're mounted in the stock speaker locations, but they might be off by a few angles since I had to dremel out/hot glue thew into place. Would this be sufficient to cause the problem to the extent that I'm describing?
