Little help with caps please

What makes a capacitor good or bad.

From the sounds of it I may need to get one and I HAV NO F'n IDEA what to look for in one. Ive seen 1farad caps for 40 bucks and Ive seen 1farad caps for 140 bucks. What am i looking for?

The Dramatic Price Difference Is Probably Because Of Quality And/or Digital Volt Meter. The Digital Volt Meter Is Mostly For Looks But Also Lets U Know How Many Volts Of Charge U Have.
