Yes. There are a lot of better substitutes. As for the mono amp, that's decent, but wrong for the application - for an 8 ohm SVC driver, it's the wrong amp.

ok, now for some actual help

keep the h/u......it will do the job you want it to

"good 4x6's" would be nice to no what kind...unless there really "good" or plates i'd suggest tosing them out...

get a set of 5 1/4 component set with adapters to fit in your 4x6 location(doors,dash????)

get a matching amp for the comps...most likely nething around 100rms x2 @ 4 ohms would be fine(varying)

keep the mtx amp..it prob does around 300 rms at 2 ohm's....

look for a sub that is around 200-350 rms...alpine type s to name 1..though there are tons...
