this took a real long time for me. its late and i am messed up, at least tell me if it sucks!

i have a nice 93 jeep wrangler. i have placed 4th and 2 3rds in jeep shows.

i would like to know if i made good choice with my small system.

some suggestion and feed back on all the equipment would be VERY nice.

lets start off up front i have a

Sony CDX-F5500 HU with 2 good 4’6” running of of it.

in the back i have 2 kenwood 6’9”s (,Frequency Response: 28Hz - 30kHz - Impedance: 4 ohms - - Power Handling: 250 Watts -- Sensitivity: 93dB - Speaker Connectors: Gold-Plated, with Glass Epoxy Circuit Board SPEAKER FEATURES - Midrange: 2-3/4" PEI Film Cone -Super-Tweeter: 13/16" PPS Film Dome - Tweeter: 1" PEI Film Banalced Dome ) with a Legacy LA460 600 Watt 2 Channel Amp hooked up to those.

lastly i have a Punch (10 inch, Power handling(RMS) - 150w, Power handling(Peak) - 300 Watts, Impedance - 8 Ohms, Sensitivity - 85.5 db, Vas - 50, Fs - 31, Qts - .524, Xmax - 7.7, Depth Bottom mount - 5.2 in., Cutout - 9.25 in., Displacement - 58.75 cu in ) that is hooked up to THUNDER 251D MTX CAR MONO AMPLIFIER 250W D-CLASS

it is hard to hear anything with the top off i would at least like to hear great sound

the 6’9”s are in a costom box sitting at least 6inch behind and either side of the sub.

also if i hooked up th front 4’6” to the 2 channel amp would that sound better?

4'6" speakers upfront.... impressive.

This is a beginning point correct?

Get good 6.5" comps up front in pods, amp them atleast at their RMS. Get rid of the 6X9's. you'll be able to hear that.

You'll be lucky if that MTX gives the punch 50W RMS @ 8 ohms

I vote to replace everything...

Running the front stage off your head unit's internal amp is bound to give you problems with the top down; there simply isn't enough headroom to provide for decent output before sending the amp into clipping. Get a good external amplifier for the front stage, and I think you'll notice a big difference in both dynamic range and overall output.

should i just spend the extra money and buy a real good 4 ch amp and put front and back in to it?

is that 2ch i have that bad?

what about the mono? good or bad? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imdaman.gif.bc6c552e19aa4ad8c47461144f40eb1a.gif

got to start learning some how!!
