Nope. As I briefly mentioned above; foam (like egg crate foam) is a barrier loader and is not thick enough to have any effect on bass waves. To stop resonances and vibrations in the panels, you need to add mass to the panels, which is what the mass loading (mat type) deadeners are for.

Yeah, but I would reccommend Second Skin or Rammatt any day of the week over Dynamat. A whole trunk would just lessen ambient noise as it is a barrier loader - ONLY.

wow thank you for those fast posts. hoosha. now what could i do to not make my trunk look like a 100% enviromental man's oven? then you could put the egg foam over with glue or such?

You can.....but then you'd be wasting egg crate foam.

sorry to go off-topic a little... but does anyone have experience with Brown bread? I am about to pick some up... how does it compare to the other brands? And B-quiet also.. I can get that stuff too. Is it all good, or should I pay extra and buy some good stuff online?

well couldnt i just cover the high shine material with anything? besides that would like sick i could literally just add a fridge in the back and just packing eggs in there. then get one of those mexican horns for the food trucks and start my own egg on wheels business. hmmmm the potential to car audio.

Both are no where near as good as Second Skin or Raammatt.

Dude, it's not that hard...and it sticks to metal, NOT to skin. I have dealt with ALOT of deadener, and never had a problem with it sticking to my skin.
