Line Output Converter Adjustment?

Alright, so I have a stock HU with a LOC to the AMP.

Had this system for over a year now and it works great.

However, I was curious on what my setting on the LOC should be?

Right now it's 1/4 way up.

I've read somewhere that best way to use the full function of the LOC is to turn it all the way up and then adjust the AMP to prevent any distortion.

BUT then I read somewhere that getting the least signal is best on the LOC? In other words, barely turning the gain or w.e.

So, I decided to post my own thread regarding LOC.

best thing is turn the gains on the amp to the minimum, adjust the LOC to get the hottest, clean signal, than adjust the amp.

Thanks for the reply but you got me stumped.

When you say "adjust the LOC to get the hottest, clean signal..." What should I be looking for?

Keep raising the LOC before the sub starts to distort?

you'll notice as you adjust it that the sub will get louder, listen to make sure that the sound is clean. once you get the loudest, cleanest sound by adjusting the LOC, start adjusting the amp.

to me it looks like you wire all 4 stock speakers to it(front/rear) then you have front and rear adjustments for the Line out. So it would be for hooking up a front and rear/sub amp

what did you do with the remote wire ? if you do not install it the amp will stay on ?
