Lifting car?

I dont get it....why do people lift cars and lower trucks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

because trucks look SO much better dropped.

a donk is a 70's caprice/impala, a box is a 80's-1990 caprice/impala a bubble is a 91-96 caprice impala after that the car doesn't deserve the impala name. and no they aren't cheap in the south i know because i currently looking for one and everyone want 2k and up while i was able to find a 92 grand marquis for 700 dollars. undercover punk brought one probally from a auction for 650 or so while i've seen a recent awarded bid list for the nc state surplus where one went for 2800 dollars. which reminds me anyone in the nc/va area seen a 91-96 caprice that runs and has somewhat decent body for around a grand??

yes, i have a guy in my area that has 24"s on 1970 Chevelle, man its so freakin' high in the air and that car was a classic now just a freakin' mind blower. People are like what the F_ck, poor car.

I dunno,

I like the look of a lifted car, its so unnessicary that I just love it. IMO anyway

I would like to be the one to tell ya though, you will get way more attention if you were able to tuck those 20s and hit a 6' 3 wheel at a big intersection.

I been there done that in a s-10, 3 wheel donuts FTW

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bsflag.gif.21f42eccd34b7d1eb1608fb1b59b69c3.gif you didnt do a 6 foot 3 wheel with an s10 on 20's nor did you do a donut with in that position. you would be lucky to do a donut period. and lifted cars are gay. kthxbye

kenny, do as you wish but your car would look bad *** on a set of chrome'd out 20's or billets for that matter. id go billets.

Dude, seriously, I have been in my friends s-10, (before he rolled it taking a turn too fast, during a 3-wheel in his neighborhood) and he hit a 3 wheel that was more than 5 feet I know. He had 20s at the time. I have seen him doing it outside the vehicle in the parking lot, now I am 6'4 and the center of the wheel almost came up to eye level. Right about 6 feet. Not sure how you would measure it, but I have always been taught the center of the rim. He didn't do his donuts that high though. He was up there but not fully extended.

But he did end up flipping the thing. Hit a 3 wheel in his neighborhood and came down too hard, flipping the truck. He had some sick height. It was a flareside, i dont know the year but it was ext. cab, 98+.

I know that I have no way of proving this but I know what happend

BTW. It was a hydraulic setup, not bags.

and only SOME 4x4's look good. that being said............full out show trucks only should be lifted. rock crawlers and shit as well. I cant see the point AT ALL to raise a daily.
I agree. There is a kid that goes to my old high school, 16yo, who has 40s oh his 80 something 1500 and I have no idea how he affords gas in that thing. Too big to drive everyday. I bet he has fun on the weekends though, until he has to fill up.

Wow a lot of obviously no nothing about big rims. Anyways a Donk is a 71-76 Impala/ Caprice, a Box is a 77-90 Caprice/Impala, and 91-96 are Bubbles. 80s Regals, Monte Carlos, Cuttlas' are G-Bodies. But to the point, some 245/30/22 should go on there without a lift and look real clean. That's what size tire am I going with in a lil bit.

Also he is right, 20s in FLA, unless you are RUNNING (also known as having a real powerful motor), is pointless. No one even looks at 20s lol. No one looks at spin kits either.

And did this guy just say something about 40s? Wtf? I hope your talking about 40" tires not 40" rims. Biggest production rim and tire are 30".

hes talkin bout off roader's + rock crawlers,

but if u want to raise your car and throw some 22's on there i say go for it, sure some people wont like it but its YOUR car, do what YOU want //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

also im sure you can call your local car customizing shop and tell them you want to raise your car and ask about the process , so you can get the info straight from someone that knows what there talking about

Yea, even I am a huge fan of big rims, but new bodies that are lifted I typically hate. There is virtually no difference between 35 and 30 profile tires in ride quality. So go with those tires. Pot holes are very scarce in FLA as well and as long as your careful you can still ride over them just fine. People talk down on these tires like o they will blow easily and all this...they are good tires....otherwise they wouldn't of been approved. (Yes tires are tested and must be approved before going into production).
