lanzar problem???

buddy of mine gave me his lanzar vibe 1800D to look at because its doing the same thing one of my other friends did. Itll turn on but the signal it gives the subs makes them sound blown just basically like crap. My other friend had a like 2400D vibe and it did the same thing on his w7. the subs are not blown just the amp makes them sounds like it. has anyone heard of this problem with the lanzar amps? if so do you know if its a hard fix?

Using a Y RCA to split signal from amp to amp to give both amps the signal they need from the HU and subs in different /separate enclosures tuned...
