Lanzar opti not outputting power.

Anyone have an idea?

I have 1/0 wire running to a KnuKoncepts distro. 8 gauge running (very short, like 2 feet) to the amp. Ground is 8 gauge (less than 2 foot also)

All the wiring is correct, as I swapped them directly to my old amp and it works great.

The output is next to nothing. My Rockford Fosgate 200x1 @ 4 ohms (more around 250 with gain kinda high) Moves my woofer a lot more than the Lanzar.

Are there any settings besites those on the RCA input side? Like switches inside or some crap?
It wouldn't start playing loud until i plugged in the remote knob also.....

I set the gain on my input (with DMM) with my remote knob at full, so i can turn it down later. Is that ok?
I did a test with my oscope.
Anytime you plug the remote knob in, it takes over as the master gain control(bypasses the amps gain) so you're still clipping it.

I set the gains with the bass knob at full, and adjusted the gain on the amp. The DMM said it was at 52.9v I don't see how it overrides it if I can still adjust the gain on the amp for the correct voltage reading on the terminals

That's what I don't understand. 700w @ 4 ohms the output voltage in AC should read 52.9v. That's what I set it to, yet It wont move the sub at all.

On my RF amp (200 watt), I can bounce quarters off my roof @ 20hz

I played the same music on both amps. The lanzar was much quieter, no matter the settings i used, SSF or LPF. At one point I had SSF to 15hz and LPF up at 150hz. Nothing, sub barely moved.

where is the gain on the amp set.

percentage wise.

I think your a victim of impedance rise and should account for it and call it a day.

More then likely your 4 ohm speaker is at over 7 ohms more like 9-10 ohms.Your feedin that thing through a 8 gauge wire.Give it a bigger wire into it.Turn up the gains to account for imp. rise and report back. This amp likes lower ohms like the 20.1 and other amps and may not be as power friendly as the rockford at such a high ohmage. So you need to adjust to it.

Should impedance rise happen on every amp i run? Because if its at 9 or 10 ohms running on the RF, that means that amp should only put out 80 watts or so. And if thats true, a 670w rms sub isnt going to bounce quarters off the roof with 80 watts

Snap a pic of where you have things set now and post it.

I know it looks like B+ has thicker wire, but it doesnt. That one just has more shielding. They are both 8awg running only 2 feet each.

RF amp:

LPF: 80hz

Gain: little below full.

Lanzar:

LPF: 150hz

SSF: 15hz

Gain: Wherever 52.9v reads on the DMM

Bass Boost: 0db
