Lanzar opti not outputting power.

that is normal and is known as "inrush" current.

basically, the capacitors inside the amp will charge as fast as possible, and this leads to a high current spark. the same thing will happen after you hook up the amp and try to replace a fuse.

umm............ 52.3v shouldn't it be 28.x volts? ( sqrt(4*200)) ??
My stock alternator is a 117amp.

Edit: I'm going to go out and hook up the lanzar again. Set the gain by ear, and try without the remote knob. will let you know in a few.
your settin power to tones..........music doesnt play at the same level as tones thus its like turnin down the volume on the head unit.

I got everything hooked back up. As far as i know, its all back to the way it was when i started. I decided to try it without the remote knob.

Whalla, this time it works without the remote knob plugged in. WTF? I dont know. Everything's running fine now.

It would not make that big of a difference...I set my gains with a DMM and its plenty loud...and the position of the gain on the amp (whether it be 10 percent or 100 percent) is completely depepndant on his HU. Just because its at 1/3 gain, doesnt mean it isnt putting out full power. I have mine set at 1/4 turn //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
I think its a wiring issue or a DMM issue. Check resistence of the speaker and adjust your gains accordingly. Be sure its wired correctly and upgrade your wiring to atleast 4 gauge. If that doesnt work, then its your DMM going on the fritz. Make sure it works, get a new one, or carefully adjust your gains by ear...If your using the knob, then use THAT to adjust the gain...

I have 1/0 going to a distro block. Is 8awg too small, even if they're 2 feet long (b+ and ground) The only thing I have closest to 4 is 3ish ( supposedly 1/0, but its more shielding than wire, so im guessing its around 2 or 3ish) So i'd have to cut it down to make it fit into the 4awg inputs on the lanzar.

im glad it all worked out for u and vetkiller
I wasnt worried..........

Just tryin to help him out, thought it was a tuning/wirin thing.

Every new amp I get takes we a few days to figure out the setting s and what not they are all a lil different.

No go wang on that sub.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
