hey all. i was reading in stereophile that u should get a f>2m rca adaptor so that u can run ur sub cable into the adapter, and the adapter into the l and r jacks on the back. they say this adds more output. is this true? thanks.

I've always run my subwoofer off the high level inputs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But I've read that as well, for the price of an adapter (like two bucks) it should be easy to do an ABX test of the two of them.

highlevel = speaker right? why do u do that?

Yeah, if I didn't use it, I wouldn't be able to run a sub very easily //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Would have to use an external crossover, which = more money and space.

Doubtful if there is any...perhaps a little more suseptible (sp) to inducted noise problems because i'm running flat wire. Changing to twisted pairs would get rid of any noise problems anyway.

It is all dependant on the type of crossover the subwoofer manufacturer used, and yes in most instances it does make a difference...which you can hear. One thing to think about though, would be to place the sub near where you typically would sit and play bass tracks, you then walk around the room to find the best bass position, at which point, you then place your sub there.
