cd players

what should I look for when shopping for a cd player? does it matter if its 1-bit, multi-bit, 10bit, 20bit, 24 bit/192khz dac?? Im looking to spend no more than $300 on a nice cd player. Im looking for a 5+ cd changer but single will do. It will be hooked up to a Pioneer vsx1014. Thanks!

Oh, and Im looking for a player that can read all types of disc formats, including mp3's.

ok because everyone has unlimited pockets //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif , and my pioneer (301 cd) is built just as well as any denon cd player. with carousel cd players (unless its a sony) above 200, you begin paying for the name. theres cd players that are 1000 bucks, but what is better about them? the speakers are what make the final difference. cables and speakers are the 2 most important things in home audio..not the brand of the source that you use.

I'm with BJ. I own Denon stuff and it f'n rocks! When you said all formats, did you also mean SACD and DVD audio?

Lemans, you familiar? This stuff is f'n cool. And you can get a player that does it for under $300, but probably gonna be a single.

i'm familiar, because i use the highest end pioneer (before elite line) 300 cd carousel, and my dad has a denon carousel, and it sounds exactly the same.

I've got Dylan's Blood on the Tracks in SACD, and auditioned my friend's copy of Floyd's Live in Pompeii on DVD-A. 'Twas nice.

yes very. its too expensive and inconvienent for me, well at least for my age/job i can get at this age.

oh i see. But I'll tell ya this, in my experience the discs are only a dollar or two more than a regular CD..... Ya I know you can't download the shit yet. But it is worth it. It sounds amazing.
