KX 2500.1 going into protect, after bump

Ok, I got it apart, uploading pics soon. The only thing is, none of it looks blown? I can't spot any loose wires.

Could someone help me w/ finding the internal ground?

Nevermind... I found something cracked...

It looks like a small capacitor inside, or resistor, is cracked. Right next to the power and ground inputs.

I called kicker, they said its 45/hr+parts to fix an amp.... I'm wondering if this would be a quick fix or not lol.... pics in a sec of said broke part.

looks like a diode to me judging by its color and it looking like it has a white band on one side.

Yep thats a diode. If you can solder it should be a easy fix.

mk, ne one know of a good website or store to get diodes? would this be as easy as a radio shack fix pretty much?

Idk much about soldering, but my parents are electronic pros, and i know we have a hardcore soldering gun. We'll see. its not like i can break it ne more.

Ne idea on how those break?

fix that yourself for the price of the $10 diode.

EDIT get all the info the diode says on it and ill try and find you the diode online.

I just talked to my dad, he said he will be able to do it lol. Hopefully things turn out ok. Thanks for the help guys, and I will try and let you know how it all goes.
