We use a braided or twisted copper shield depending on the series. It is thicker and blocks lower frequency interference. The stranded shields like this are effective against EMI, but not so effective against RFI because the very high frequency wavelengths are smaller than the gaps between strands of the wire.Okay, that is good to know. How are the SoundDrive RCAs shielding different? What makes them superior?
Quick reference sheet:
type of interference // frequencies it affects // how to best block it
EMI // audio frequencies // twisted or braided copper shields
RFI // video frequencies // foil shield
