Kenwood KAC-7205 1000 Watts amplifier ( bridgeable )

hi i just got today my kenwood KAC-7205 1000 watts amplifier its a bridgeable 2-channel amplifier but i am a little confused now that i got it if its a 1000 watts bridgeable 2-channel amplifier does this mean that the amplifier can push 1000 watts to each of my 2 12s a total of 2000 watts if its bridge need help

so what the hell is the bridgeable for i was thinking if it was a 1000 watts amp 2-channel amplifier it would push 500 watts to each 12s and bridge would push 1000 watts to each channel so it would be pushing 1000 watts to each 12s got the amp thinking it would pushs 1000 watts to each 2 12s bridge

Edit : so does anyone know if there is a way of getting the amp to push 1000 watts to each 2 12s

Maybe I read wrong but the KAC 7205 does like 170 something X 2 RMS, where you getting your numbers....

RMS Power Rating:

4 ohms: 170 watts x 2 chan.

2 ohms: 250 watts x 2 chan.

Bridged, 4 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan.

Ok 1st thing: peak watts means ****. RMS is all that matters. True RMS power is a completely different animal then advertised RMS. Search and learn, all your questions this easy will be answered 10 fold. Good luck!

First off, what kind of subs are you trying to push? Second, you're probably going to get flamed for the Kenwood amp.... If you can handle that ask away.....

I understand your dilemma based on the info they give on a sales page....that amp, driven to a point of the most distorted output it can muster, for milliseconds, might make 1000watts....

Max can be helpful when purchasing speakers, but on an amp, it is pretty much useless info.

What 12's you got?

i had them for like 2 year that i got them they look like theses here but dont if its the same highlights as theses i would need to screw them out of the box to be sure but they look like theses here if am not wrong they are able to push 2500 watts each so dont know if theses are outdated ones

does your sub box just have 1 input terminal on the back where you connect the wires?...or 2?

yes 2 on the back 2 connect both speakers to amp

Edit : just took one of the speaker out of box i thought on the back of the speaker the power was listed but it was not all i see on the back is 4 ohms thats all so dont know the power it can hold

theses are pic's i just took with my apple ipod not to clear but theses are my 2 12s Kickers with the old bazooka 500 watts each
